Hear me out, it's about more than just the bump ...
When you have a baby on the way there's so much to celebrate!
After-all, if the miracle of growing a life isn't photo-worthy I'm not sure what is.
It's your love story that got you here. Whether its your 1st, 3rd, .. or 12th... this is a big moment in your lives and your body is doing one of the most bad ass things possible. Pregnancy has had it's ups and downs (hopefully) but growing a child is not for the faint of heart. You've made it (almost) 9 months!
Take a moment to capture the joy and anticipation that comes with growing your family. I can see it now: One day you'll use these photos to tell your little one the story of how they were in your belly.

In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Photography
you don't even have to leave the house
Swaddling your little one and capturing some of your first portraits as a growing family is my greatest privilege. We'll do it in your space and at baby's pace
What is an In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session?
Bringing bebe home is an exciting whirlwind of figuring out all the things. You don't need one more thing to worry about while you're sleep deprived and trying to take care of a new human.
I got you. An in-home newborn lifestyle session is meant to make capturing photos of your precious little one and growing family easy-peasy amidst the chaos.
Why In your Home?
- Nothing's more authentic to you than home. A session in your home means capturing you in an environment that is unique to you and your family. Plus, you worked hard on that nursery so it's only fitting you get some photos there!
- You don't even have to leave the house. Let me write that again... you don't even have to leave the house. No packing big bags, loading all the things, or making a big car trip with baby.
- You have access to anything (expected or unexpected) you might need for yourself or baby.
Planning your In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Session
SCHEDULING
- I recommend booking your newborn session when baby is between 7 and 21 days old.
- Usually sessions will take place in the late AM (eg. 10:30am) - The goal here is to catch baby early and give you plenty of time to get ready while ensuring that there's plenty of natural light coming through the windows.
collaborating
- Do you have desired swaddle colors? A secret Pinterest board with images you love? Share them with me to help me plan your session!
- Ask questions and/or share any concerns you have leading up to your session.
- Take notes... don't let new mom brain get the best of you. If there are things you want out of your sesion write it down for me and/or send me messages about things as they pop into your head!
prepping
- Ideal areas for photos may include the nursery, living room and/or parent's room - Tidy any areas where you might want photos but all areas are not required. It's up to you...it's your lifestyle!
- When I get there I will survey your home and recommend places to set up the semi-posed photos (usually near a window). If needed I may temporarily move furniture and adjust blinds.
- Ideally baby will get a meal and/or top-off feeding session upon my arrival. While baby is feeding, I get time to assess your space and set-up. A baby with a full belly is also our best chance for a sleepy baby once we get to swaddling and photographing.
FAQ
Do you bring wraps and props?
Yes! I have a sample of wraps, textures, and baskets for semi-posed photos. If you have one you want to use we can try that too.
What if I don't have a lot of natural light in my home?
I have an eye for finding the most well lit spaces. If needed, I can bring and set up some lighting to supplement the natural light in your environment.
What should I wear?
I suggest going for neutral colors and loose fitting clothing that you are comfortable and confident in. I recommend going for complementary colors in earthy tones. Ask for my style guide if you want more help!
Do you wear a mask?
Safety is of the utmost importance to me. Upon request I can wear a mask.
What should baby wear?
It's most helpful if Baby is in just a diaper and/or a simple onesie.
