I am sure you can think of multiple reasons why you don't have time to schedule family photoshoot this fall:

The fall is busy enough

You’re nervous you won’t like the results

✓ You need to convince your significant other OR you’re worried the kids won't cooperate

You're not in the habit of of capturing annual family photos

I get it! I’ve been where you are and I made all the same excuses earlier this fall... Let me tell you though, once I finally decided to ignore those fears and book the dang session, I felt so much relief.

Now that my session is finally booked for next weekend, I’m genuinely excited and looking forward to it! (And so are the hubs and pup, I promise :)

BUT...Here’s why you SHOULD book your fall family mini session ASAP:

1. Freeze a Moment in Time with Fall Family Photos

You’re right, the fall is a busy time of year. But so was spring, and so was summer.  Make booking a fall mini session a priority amidst the chaos and before you know it, your session’s photos will be a beautiful reminder of this time in your lives.

Capture this season in your life because each one only lasts so long. In addition, if you’re from the Dallas Area, you know the same goes for the fall colors and good weather.

2. Today is part of your journey, celebrate it.

Don’t let a fear of not liking the results of your photoshoot stop you. The truth is, the camera doesn’t add 10 pounds…bad angles, lighting, and posing does. Throughout your session my job is to capture the beauty in you. We can work together to problem solve if there’s something you’re nervous about and when it comes to making sure I capture you at your best, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve.

3. A 15-minute Mini Session will Fly By

Particularly after our outdoor mini sessions, I hear it constantly from the guys, “That wasn’t bad at all,” and from the kids “that was more fun than I thought it would be.”

When it comes to asking your family members to get “dressed up” and in front of the camera too,  just remember: almost anyone can do just about anything for just 15 minutes.

Especially if you’re new to couples or taking family photos together, a quick 15 minute session is a small ask before going to grab a drink or get fro-yo together afterwards (as you can see, no I’m not above offering rewards for participation).

4. You’ll be surprised by the candid photos I’ll capture

Yes, I love capturing the perfect family portrait (the one where everyone’s looking at the camera with a genuine smile) but I also want to tell a story.

In fact, you can expect at some point during your photography session I’ll probably tell y’all not to look at the camera. Honestly, it’s the in-between candid moments when I don’t have your full attention that I can capture images that feature your unique personalities and bond between family members. These are the final images that help your gallery tell a story.

5. There’s a First Time For Everything

Maybe you’ve always wanted to do a fall mini session or an update to your family photos is overdue. Maybe you just  aren’t in the habit of taking annual family photos. Let this year be the year you try something new! A mini session is the perfect way to test out the value in taking family photos - I promise the experience and your final gallery will keep you coming back every year!

Perhaps little excuses keep getting in your way or it’s just not something you’re used to making time for - whatever it is, let’s overcome it together and make this year a year to remember.
